Jo grew up dancing ballet, modern, and tap, and is currently working towards her Advanced 2 Ballet with Miss Payne. She will soon be embarking on the 2 year RAD Certificate in Dance Teaching alongside her full-time IT job and current teaching commitments. Jo has also completed the Professional Tutu Making course at NTU and is looking forward to seeing some of her creations on stage at JLD’s Presentation Day.
As a dancer, Jo was part of her university performance squad, competing in dance competitions, and performing with a choreography group combining classical and commercial styles. Prior to covid, she was a member of the Laura Henderson mixed-discipline adult dance company for several years. Jo is passionate about inclusive, supportive teaching that enables every child to enjoy dance and find what works best for them. Jo teaches ballet, preschool and primary tap on Saturdays.
